Our Story

JAYA Established in 2026

The Soul of Indonesia

At Jaya, we bring the soul of Indonesia to Erlenbach, ZH — one family recipe at a time.

It began with a bowl of rendang. My mother Lely’s recipe — rich, deeply spiced, slow-cooked with patience and love — was the dish that opened our eyes to the true depth of Indonesian cooking. When she passed, we knew we had to carry that flame forward. Jaya is our way of keeping her spirit alive, one shared meal at a time.

This is a family affair. Devinna’s brother Davis grew up immersed in Indonesia’s rich culinary traditions, and together with Gerard, they craft both beloved classics and dishes born in the kitchen, not the cookbook — recipes passed down, perfected, and made with a care no formula can replicate.

We’ve created a warm, intimate space where you can slow down, share plates, and discover what Indonesian food truly tastes like — from fragrant nasi campur to slow-braised curries and everything in between.

Come as you are. Leave having tasted something real❤️

The Process
